Objective
Enable reliable, compliant drug-price operations by stabilizing core portal logic, reducing manual effort, and preparing the platform for automated calculations, expanded law coverage, and strengthened security
Challenge
A legacy portal with critical security gaps, inaccurate calculation logic, hardcoded environments, missing documentation, and manual reporting created substantial risks to data integrity and compliance, ultimately blocking the team from fully using the portal.
Solution
Secured the DPT Portal by removing hardcoded credentials, isolating sensitive environments, and reinforcing authentication. Introduced “Biosimilar” as a new drug category and updated state-law logic to streamline pricing data ingestion and compliance. Initiated automated calculation workflows by implementing the PoC for the price-modeling tool, enhanced security practices, and modernized the supporting infrastructure.
Results
Improved platform reliability and compliance, reduced configuration errors, eliminated public vulnerabilities, and increased process automation across the DPT Portal.
