Private Academic Nonprofit Institution
Modernizing a complex college web platform
Technical rebuild of a large academic site, including CMS migration, content consolidation, application flow reskinning, and multi-source event aggregation.
Objective
Replace an outdated CMS and fragmented content structure with a maintainable platform that supports scale, clarity, and future development.
Challenge
Cascade CMS constrained content workflows, 11k+ pages were unmanageable, event data lived in silos, and the Slate application flow was visually disconnected.
Solution
Built a modern, mobile-first website and migrated content from Cascade CMS to Drupal, consolidated and restructured the site, reskinned Slate application flows, and unified events via Drupal and RSS feeds.
Results
Increased engagement by 110% while cutting page count by ~90% (from ~11k to ~2k). Centralized events from multiple systems, simplified ongoing maintenance, and delivered a consistent experience across the main site and application flows.
